ANGIE NUSSEY booked for benefit concert

Rhythm & Pitch’s board has booked award-winning singer-songwriter Angie Nussey for an April 6 concert at Grace United Church to raise funds for Rhythm & Pitch.

Angie’s accomplishments include five albums and music industry awards for best song, best country song, best folk act and best female performer.

Since Angie gave a TEDx talk on “music, spirituality and the whisper that connects us all” four years ago, she has been in demand as a speaker as well as a musician.

Tickets to Angie’s concert cost $20 at Grace and $21.50 online.

Advance tickets are available at the church office, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mondays to Fridays or at Rhythm & Pitch on Wednesdays, 3:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.  Jayne LeClair (office) and Edythe Barriault (R&P) will have tickets for purchase.

Tickets will also be available online at Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/angie-nussey-in-concert- tickets-42638049554 OR at: https://barrie.snapd.com/events/view/1133481

Angel Campaign 2018

Rhythm & Pitch’s 2018 Angel Campaign got underway quietly in January, but it’s off to a good start.

The R&P board set a goal of $4,000 for the 2018 spring campaign, which will continue until the target is achieved.

About three-quarters of the goal has been reached without much publicity. Donations from an individual donor ($1,000) and the Barrie Lions Club ($500) gave the campaign a much needed early boost. The Lions Club came on board as a first time donor after a visit to R&P classrooms.

The board is hoping more donors will step forward as word of the campaign spreads.

Donations to Grace United Church designated for Rhythm & Pitch are tax receipt eligible.

Donations can be made on R & P Wednesdays or at the church office between 10 a.m. & 1 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.

Rhythm & Pitch has always depended on the generosity of individuals and groups who support the program. Please consider becoming an “Angel”.
